Pregnancy: For galantamine no clinical data on exposed pregnancies are available. Studies in animals have shown reproductive toxicity (see Pharmacology: Toxicology: Preclinical safety data under Actions). Caution should be exercised when prescribing to pregnant women.
Lactation: It is not known whether galantamine is excreted in human breast milk and there are no studies in lactating women. Therefore, women on galantamine should not breast-feed.
